across National boundaries.

DESCRIPTION
FOCUS 8 measures the 'Big Five' personality factors, plus achievement motivation, power motivation, and perceived (self-reported) cognitive ability. It is part of the FOCUS series.
FOCUS 8 is a short normative questionnaire with 80 trait adjective items.The report provides an individualised analysis of the test-taker's profile across the Great Eight factors and the implications for behaviour at work.

RELIABILITY
Internal consistency reliabilities range from .74 to .92. The median reliability is .87.
Standard Error of Difference are all around the 4 mark so a difference of around 8 constitutes a real difference. This is equivalent to a difference of 3 stens.
VALIDITY
Scale intercorrelations range from .02 to .67. Highest correlations are between Achievement and Power Motivation (.67) and between Cognitive Ability and the two motivation scales (.55 &.64).
Criterion-related validity: FOCUS8 scores were correlated with manager ratings. 13% of the variability in job performance was accounted for by the FOCUS8.
